PLR - Great For Video Creation
Thursday, April 3rd, 2008Okay, you’re probably thinking to yourself, how can I use PLR to make videos? I mean after all, this is printed material and video is…well, video. To answer your question, you first need to understand the importance of video and what makes a good video.
Love it or hate it, video is here to stay. The results of my own campaign are in and they are indisputable. I get almost as many signups from my videos as I do from my articles even though my articles outnumber my videos in quantity by over 100 to 1.
But why is video so effective?
For starters, when done well, it’s interesting and exciting. It’s also more personal when they can see you on camera. People get to see that you’re real and not just some faceless name on the Internet. This helps build trust, which is in very short supply on the Internet these days.
Video is also effective because it’s relatively new as opposed to other ways of marketing. Sure, video has been around forever, but as a marketing medium, very few people REALLY use it effectively…mostly because they don’t know how to.
Okay, so what does this have to do with PLR material?
A good video is one that is well scripted. Look at any TV show, movie, whatever. They’re all scripted. Even reality TV is scripted to some extent. Nobody just does things off the cuff…at least not successfully unless they are incredibly skilled in the art of improvisation.
Because of this, if you’re going to create a compelling video, you’re going to need good material. That material starts with having something interesting to talk about and the facts, or data, to relay to people.
That is where PLR material comes in quite handy. Remember what I said in an earlier article about the real value of the PLR being in the fact that the research was done for you? Well, you can use this same research to be the basis for your video.
Let’s say for example that you purchased PLR material and it’s an article called “3 Keys To Writing Killer Sales Copy.” You can take the information in that article, script it in your own words, create a brief video relaying that info and then upload it to YouTube and other video sites.
Do you now see the power of PLR material? That article has probably just saved you hours of time researching a topic and your video, instead of taking a whole day to complete, can be done in as little as an hour from start to finish…including the actual upload to the site.
PLR has so many uses, it’s almost mind boggling.
The key is knowing HOW to use it and make the most out of it.
